Three Stages of Transformation

“You are a Mighty Warrior!”

The Warrior course is founded upon the well tamed and controlled Gideon–this classic story from Antiquity is found in the Book of Judges 6 through 8. This 28’ish Gideon is a fearful farmer in 1208 BC. And he is everyman–you and me:

  • Alone and hiding in the winepress–feeling completely isolated
  • Hiding – in his persona–what men do very well.                                             
  • Disqualified as a man, a husband, a protector, and a father.

The Warrior recruit will learn:

1) The purpose of warfare in your life

2) The peace and confidence that comes with overcoming–winning your inner battles

3) Stride into the present, healthy and humble but courageous masculinity

4) The strength and skills of godly husbanding, fathering, and at work

5) The three dimensions of warfare that assail us

6) The care and use of spiritual, mental, and emotional weaponry

7) A soldier’s disciplines

8) The need for a few authentic, frank, and loving men in your life–that have your 6

9) Field exercises to practice what you have learned the same week

10) Spiritual authority–speaking words of power, command, gentleness, and love

11) Demolition of idols and demons, and anchoring daily as a man of the Kingdom

12) Team fighting against a social or spiritual enemy in trust and transparency

 

Mastering Servant Leadership

“So justice is turned away, and righteousness stands at a distance. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter. Truth is missing, and whoever turns from evil makes himself a prey. The LORD looked and was offended that there was no justice. And He saw that there was no man—that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.” –Isaiah 59:14-16
Now that your men have been freed as Warriors to a higher level of self-leadership, what’s next?

The Warrior established that you are now overcoming in most of your invisible battles in a locked-shield community of a couple “911” Brothers. The Priest Course (Year 2) consists of 12 weeks of the transformational training of man into a servant leader* in relation to his wife, his kids, grandkids, workplace, church, and community.

Course Highlights

This course calls out and installs the leadership skills needed in the four dimensions of Manhood:

The Husbanding Priest * – Long ago, the Husbandman was the lead Farmer, an expert on his soil, weather changes, the crops, and the threats to the harvest.
The Fathering Priest – Gaining the skills to be the best Dad ever, and having your heartbroken for the Fatherless
The Praying Priest – Learn the 16 kinds of prayer, how to seek and find God, and operate in prayer power in your daily life
The Leader-Priest – grow into a servant-influencer by example at Work and in ministry to others

Developing proactive, Leading Men who prosper in Agribusiness

As the 3rd Stage of our Smallholder Men’s Mobile Leadership Program, PBL’s Farms for Life course follows the prerequisite Warrior and Priest courses. After these values-based leadership courses, graduates have found their community of men; their purpose in protecting and providing for their family and; a yearning to grow wealth in business. They watch their yield rise every harvest and a farm that is being healed from its previous barren, bleached soils. For most, abject poverty is over. . .

Over 90% of all farms in Sub-Saharan Africa are classified as “smallholder” farms.Typically they range in size between 1/2 to 8 acres in Kenya and Uganda. The USAID and UKAID humanitarian aid, the National Farm Bureau and Western NGO’s rarely see or help this level of smallholder farmers where over 80% of the population of Sub-Saharan Africa lives.

IMPACT

As of the end of 2022
  • 15,942 men were trained in Modern Organic Farming techniques in Kenya, yet 9,090 of them remain in prison yearning to go home restored to family and excited about healing their farm
  • 7,000 of these men were inmates–and over 80% yearned for release to go home to succeed as farmers
  • FFL teaches them how to make their own organic fertilizer to heal their land
  • After one year (2-harvests) the average crop yield increased by 1.5X their previous year
  • After year two, crop yields increased between 2-4X
  • After years three to five, Yields increased 3-6X  BUT 3 of our leaders are seeing between 15X – 18x in 8 years! The delta crop yield is between  25-40 X in 15 years
  • Abject Poverty is over! Children’s school fees are paid, national health insurance premiums are paid, and their Farm to Market dream begins to unfold.
  • They invest in livestock and start related agribusinesses.
  • About $12-18 million in community wealth has been generated in 2022 from PBLs FFL initiatives and most harvests double every 2-3 years.

The PBL Holistic Trilogy is a series of  2 three-day and 1 full day sessions: The Warrior, The Priest, and either of our 2 Vocational bootcamps are programmed to stirr each want to act–and get their own skin in the game in service to God and their family. The essence of meaning, hidden deep in the noble heart of every man is this question: “What reality–what purpose is worthy enough for me to die for.”
